Our Workplace
We believe that a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workforce is essential to long-term success. Our workplace culture is shaped by empowered people and leaders who are transparent, inclusive and value-focused.
Safety is our highest priority. We are committed to ensuring our people are working safely every day.
In FY25 we exceeded our safety leadership training target, with 95% of leadership staff completing safety behavioural leadership training (against an 80% target). We also conducted an innovative connected hydration trial using wearable biosensor technology to better understand and manage heat and hydration risks for our workforce in the challenging North Queensland operating environment. In FY26 we are focused on Critical Risk Management, having completed a company-wide review of our Safety and Health Management System and developed a Critical Risk Management Plan.
Our people are encouraged to grow their careers and are supported through flexible rosters, professional development opportunities, and access to mental health and wellbeing services including a company-wide Employee Assistance Program.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects our values and the communities in which we operate. This includes:
- Gender balance targets of 30% at Board level and 20% across the workforce, both to be achieved by FY28
- A newly established Diversity and Inclusion Working Group to guide initiatives and address barriers
- Upgrades to Eloise site facilities – including 80 new ensuite accommodation rooms, a new large dining room, and room renovations – to improve safety, comfort and inclusion
- Cultural awareness training delivered in partnership with the Mitakoodi and Mayi People.
