Eloise Copper Mine
Resource activity: Mining activity relating to a mining lease
It is advised that AIC Copper Pty Ltd has lodged an application for a major amendment to an environmental authority and a PRCP schedule in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Protection Act 1994. The environmental authority and PRCP schedule being amended are EPML00818113 and P-PRCP-100923537.
The application relates to 529.54 ha of land, located off the Oorindi McKinlay Road, approximately 60 kilometres (km) southeast of Cloncurry, Queensland in the McKinlay Shire Local Government Area (LGA).
The resource activity is proposed to occur on the following tenure(s) and will involve: Raises to the existing tailings storage facility (TSF), construction of a borrow pit, revision of the TSF post mining land use, revision of rehabilitation monitoring locations, addition of Environmentally Relevant Activity (ERA) 14 Electricity Generation, and addition of Mining Lease (ML) 100304 to ML 90064, ML 90086, ML 90155 and ML 90080. The application documents for the project consist of application notice, properly made application documents, information requirement, response to information request and the PRC Plan.
The application documents for the project consist of Environmental Authority Amendment Application Form, Environmental Authority Amendment Supporting Information Report, Response to an Information Request for an Environmental Authority Amendment Application, Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plan, and Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plan Schedule.

It is advised that any person may make a submission about the application documents during the submission period, which is from 18/09/2025 to 19/09/2025. Submission must be received on or before 4.30pm on the last day of the submission period. Submissions must be sent to:

The Department of Environment, Tourism, Science, and Innovation as administering authority shall accept all properly made submissions and may accept written submissions even if they are not properly made. A properly made submission must meet all of the following requirements:
- be written or made electronically
- state the name and address of each submitter
- be made to the administering authority stated above
- be received on or before the last day of the submission period
- state the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds.
